In a celebration of cultural richness and culinary diversity, Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) played host to a mesmerizing Pitha Festival on 16th January 2024 (Tuesday), marking the pinnacle of winter festivities. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff in a joyous celebration of one of Bangladesh's most cherished traditions.
The festival was
inaugurated by Dr. Md. Nuruzzaman, the honorable CEO of Daffodil Family along
with Professor Dr. Md. Shakhawat Hossain, the honorable Principal of DIIT and
others. The Pitha Festival, an annual affair at Daffodil Institute of IT,
unfolded with an array of vibrant activities and cultural displays.
Numerous stalls adorned the campus, each offering a unique assortment of Pithas. A pitha-fest competition showcased the creativity, hospitality, organizing and culinary skills of students, adding an exciting element of friendly competition to the event. The day long festival was come to an end with the Cultural performances featuring traditional music and dance further enriched the atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity and pride in our cultural heritage.
All the faculties,
employees, students and other participants adorned in traditional Bangladeshi
attire weaved through the campus. The sight was a demonstration to the
institute's commitment to preserving and celebrating the rich tapestry of
Bangladesh's cultural roots.
The success of the
Pitha Festival is attributed to the dedication of the organizing committee,
participants, and performers. Their tireless efforts ensured a seamless and
memorable event that brought the entire DIIT community together. In the spirit
